Michael Friede Joins Symrise as Executive Board Member and President of Scent & Care

Michael Friede has been appointed to the Executive Board of Symrise AG and will serve as President of the Scent & Care segment. This division focuses on fragrance applications, aroma molecules, and cosmetic ingredients, contributing roughly EUR 2 billion to annual sales. Michael König, Chairman of the Supervisory Board, expressed confidence in Friede's extensive market knowledge and industry expertise.

Friede has held leadership roles at Brenntag SE, Akzo Nobel N.V., Covestro AG, and Bayer AG. His comprehensive international experience in life sciences and specialty chemicals complements Symrise's global operations. Friede holds degrees from Madrid, Toronto, Essen, Oxford, and London. Born in 1980, he is married with three children and returns to his roots in Holzminden, Germany.
