Taranis Resources Advances Exploration at Thor with Alteration Study
Taranis Resources Inc. has completed a mass-balance alteration study at its Thor project in SE British Columbia, following its 2024 deep drilling program. This study focused on identifying hydrothermal alteration associated with the I-1 and I-2 intrusive rocks. The use of mass-balance alteration analysis helps detect large-scale geochemical changes, aiding in the targeting of future drill sites.
Taranis analyzed 252 drill core samples, examining major, trace, and rare-earth elements. The findings identified areas of mass/volume gain, indicating zones of potential mineralization. These zones are characterized by the addition of important components like silica, carbonate, and metals such as gold and silver.
Moreover, an airborne magnetotelluric survey identified a prospective intrusive target with a large conductive halo. The Thor project continues to explore the potential linkage between epithermal deposits and concealed intrusives, bolstered by these new findings and ongoing geophysical surveys.
