Terra Innovatum Unveils SOLO™ Micro Modular Reactor at NYSE

Terra Innovatum, an Italian company founded in 2018, has introduced SOLO™, the world’s first micro modular nuclear reactor, during an event at the New York Stock Exchange. The reactor aims to address the growing global energy demand with plans for commercial availability by 2028.

SOLO is designed to offer a scalable, safe, and sustainable energy solution. It is built from commercial off-the-shelf components and features advanced safety mechanisms, including natural convection cooling and multiple shutdown systems. The reactor’s modular design allows it to be adapted for diverse locations, including urban and remote areas.

Terra Innovatum emphasizes the reactor’s role in supporting sustainable development and energy-intensive industries such as AI and data centers. They are engaged in securing financing and have initiated discussions with the USNRC for regulatory engagement in 2025.
