Terra One Sells 310 MW Battery Portfolio in Germany to CCI

Terra One Climate Solutions GmbH, a key player in Germany's battery energy storage systems (BESS) market, has finalized an agreement to sell a 310 MW portfolio of battery storage projects to Castleton Commodities International LLC (CCI). Capcora served as the exclusive M&A advisor for Terra One in this significant transaction. This deal is a milestone for Germany’s budding BESS market and marks one of the first cross-border deals in the sector.

The portfolio is designed to support Germany’s renewable energy goals by enhancing grid stability and providing necessary flexibility. CCI will manage the operation of these assets through its subsidiary S4 Energy BV. Large-scale battery systems are essential for continuous renewable energy supply.

With a pipeline of over 400 projects, Terra One aims to become a top provider in Europe's energy market. The proceeds from this transaction will fund further BESS projects. CCI's involvement underscores its belief in the sector's vital role in Germany's decarbonization strategy.
