Thailand NACC Hosts Key Discussion with Foreign Chambers on Anti-Corruption Measures

The National Anti-Corruption Commission (NACC) of Thailand, through its Office of Governance Development and Promotion, recently organized a pivotal discussion on anti-corruption measures. Collaborating with the Joint Foreign Chambers of Commerce in Thailand (JFCCT), the event took place at Swissôtel Bangkok Ratchada, attracting 100 participants, including JFCCT members, foreign embassy representatives, government officials, and private sector stakeholders.

The primary goal was to foster cooperation in combating corruption within foreign private business sectors in Thailand. The platform addressed issues like bribery solicitation by government officials and provided strategic recommendations to the NACC, Thailand's leading anti-corruption body.

Key topics included actions to address private sector corruption and the Thai private sector's role in prevention. Panelists like Mr. Nitiphan Prachuabmoh, Mrs. Vibeke Lyssand Leirvag, Dr. Kulpatra Sirodom, Associate Professor Dr. Saowanee Thairungroj, and moderator Ms. Chanchanok Chennarong highlighted the importance of effective internal control measures and corporate governance.

The NACC's collaboration with the JFCCT aims to enhance Thailand's commercial competitiveness and its international reputation, potentially increasing its Corruption Perceptions Index (CPI) score and boosting foreign investor confidence.
