Thales completes acquisition of Cobham Aerospace Communications

This acquisition allows Thales to strengthen its avionics product portfolio and consolidate its position as a world leader in the field of communications and secure cockpit connectivity.
Cobham Aerospace Communications is a leading provider of advanced technologies in versatile, integrated and more autonomous avionics systems, making aviation safer, greener and more efficient. Cobham Aerospace Communications' product range includes complete L-band satellite communications systems (antennas and transceivers), complete digital audio and radio management solutions and passive connectivity, communications and navigation antennas.
With approximately 734 employees, including approximately 190 engineers, AeroComms operates through well-established locations in France, South Africa, the United States/Canada and Denmark. This acquisition will enable Thales to create a global player in the avionics products market, and will create significant value for its shareholders.
