The Assistance Fund Launches New COPD Financial Aid Program

On May 13, 2024, The Assistance Fund (TAF), a charitable organization dedicated to helping patients manage high medical costs, introduced a new copay assistance program aimed at individuals suffering from chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). This initiative is focused on easing the burden of out-of-pocket medical expenses including copays, coinsurance, and deductibles for qualifying patients.

Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease significantly affects millions in the U.S., impeding daily activities due to symptoms such as persistent coughing, wheezing, and breathing difficulties. The condition can worsen over time, with some patients eventually needing supplemental oxygen for survival.
