The Battery Show Europe Sets Record Year with 20,000-plus Participants, 23% Growth
Stuttgart, the hub for the automobile industry in Europe, hosted increased attendees, highlighting globally recognized decisions and innovations in EV, battery technology, and supply chain.
STUTTGART, GERMANY / ACCESSWIRE / July 10, 2024 / The Battery Show Europe and Electric & Hybrid Vehicle Technology Expo Europe, the premier European event for all things battery and H/EV technology, hosted over 20,000 attendees during the three-day event at the Messe Stuttgart, Germany on 18-20 June 2024. Top exhibitors included Siemens, Parker, Lyric Germany, Keyence, Atlas Copco, ScanTech, and ThermoFisher Scientific.
The event featured product showcases and the Open Tech Forum, which hosted more than 20 presentations covering battery production, predictive battery analytics, and more. John Lewinski, vice president of Informa Markets Engineering, emphasized the importance of the show's location in Stuttgart for supporting the intersection of European and global markets.
Sebastian Wolf, COO of Volkswagen's PowerCo battery unit, noting the focus on speed and cost efficiency, also underlined the evolving nature of the EV market. The show addressed substantial industry developments like the new battery passports, designed to trace battery minerals and materials along their supply chains.
The event also added a new track, "Exploring BESS Technology," focusing on Stationary Energy Storage Systems (ESS), which are significant for both grid and mobility needs. The Battery Show Europe will return to Stuttgart on 3-5 June 2025.
