CUHK Enters Top 20 in QS World University Rankings 2027
The Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK) has achieved a significant milestone by climbing 14 places to rank 18th globally in the QS World University Rankings 2027. This marks CUHK's first entry into the global top 20, underscoring improvements in employer reputation, research network, and international student ratio, while maintaining top scores in international faculty ratio.
CUHK also excels in the U.S. News & World Report's 2026-27 rankings, placing 28th globally and 5th in Asia, securing its position as Hong Kong's top university for the fourth year. The University stands out with 15 subjects in the global top 50, with Education and Educational Research ranked first.
CUHK's research environment is enhanced by around 300 institutes and centres, plus state key laboratories. The university supports scientific growth and innovation, providing financial support like the Hong Kong PhD Fellowship Scheme.
