British Royal Mint Unveils Spice Girls Commemorative Coin

The British Royal Mint has launched a new £5 commemorative coin to celebrate 30 years since the Spice Girls' debut. This release marks a significant milestone for the group, who shot to fame in 1996 with their hit single "Wannabe" and their debut album "Spice".

Designed by artist Ffion Gwillim, the coin features all five members in silhouette with their autographs, capturing the essence of 90s fandom. Part of The Royal Mint's Music Legends series, this is the first time a female group has been honored in this way.

The coin comes in five limited-edition packaging designs, each featuring one Spice Girl, with only 15,000 available globally. It is available in various formats, including Gold Proof and Silver Proof, and can be purchased on The Royal Mint's website from March 3, 2026.
