Thyssenkrupp nucera Profits Amid Sales Decline for 2024/2025

Thyssenkrupp nucera AG & Co. KGaA announced a return to profitability for the fiscal year 2024/2025, despite experiencing a decline in sales. The company recorded sales of EUR 845 million, down from EUR 862 million the previous year, yet achieved an EBIT of approximately EUR 2 million, a significant improvement from the previous year's loss of EUR -14 million.

The Green Hydrogen segment saw a reduction in sales from EUR 524 million to EUR 459 million but managed to enhance its EBIT from EUR -76 million in the prior year to EUR -56 million. Meanwhile, the Chlor-Alkali segment experienced double-digit sales growth, reaching EUR 386 million, although EBIT slightly decreased to EUR 58 million compared to EUR 62 million last year.

The management anticipates a challenging 2025/2026 due to tough market conditions, forecasting sales between EUR 500 million and EUR 600 million and EBIT ranging from EUR -30 million to EUR 0 million. Measures are being implemented to counter the expected sales decline.
