Topicflow Raises $2.5m to Disrupt Performance Reviews With AI

Vancouver-based startup Topicflow, developing an AI-powered performance management platform, announced today it has secured $2.5 million CAD (1.8 million USD) in new funding. The round was led by Founders' Co-Op with participation from Ascend.

Founded by Amin Palizban, Tony Angerilli, and Maxime Parmentier, Topicflow seeks to address challenges in managing employee performance in dynamic work environments. The platform uses AI to help managers track goals, KPIs, feedback, and coaching sessions. Previously, the team founded 7Geese, acquired by Paycor in 2020.

CEO Amin Palizban highlighted the dissatisfaction with traditional performance management, noting, "With only 2% of CHROs happy with their systems, this space is ripe for disruption." Topicflow’s AI capabilities analyze data to prompt managers in setting performance expectations and offering coaching, integrating with tools like Slack, Microsoft Teams, Jira, Asana, and Salesforce.

The funding will be used to hire in engineering, data science, design, and customer success, to scale customer onboarding. Businesses can join the waitlist to use Topicflow's services.
