Torq Resources Announces Significant Gold-Copper Discovery at Santa Cecilia Project

Torq Resources Inc. has revealed promising initial results from its second phase of drilling at the Santa Cecilia gold-copper project, located in Chile's Maricunga belt. The highlighted drill hole from the Pircas Norte target, 24SC-DDH-003, showed encouraging concentrations of gold and copper, returning 0.36 g/t gold and 0.078% copper over a 502-meter interval, beginning from 98 meters depth. This includes a segment of 20 meters with higher grades of 0.69 g/t gold and 0.10% copper starting at 354 meters.

This discovery is significant as it represents a new gold-copper porphyry mineralization at Santa Cecilia, reinforcing Torq's hypothesis regarding the potential extension of mineralization from the nearby, major undeveloped Caspiche deposit. CEO Shawn Wallace highlighted the strategic importance of this discovery, which demonstrates the presence of substantial mineral resources and bolsters the company’s exploration endeavors in the region.

Further assays from the ongoing drilling program are anticipated shortly, which will provide additional insights and help refine further exploration at the site. Torq plans to resume drilling in the fourth quarter of the current year, contingent on securing necessary financing.
