TotalEnergies has commenced operations of Danish Fields and Cottonwood, two major utility-scale solar farms located in southeast Texas. These projects, which boast a combined capacity of 1.2 GW, contribute to a broader portfolio of 4 GW in renewable assets within Texas.

Danish Fields, the company's largest solar farm in the U.S., has a capacity of 720 MWp with 1.4 million photovoltaic panels and a 225 MWh battery storage system. Approximately 70% of its capacity has been contracted through long-term Corporate Power Purchase Agreements (CPPAs) with companies like Saint-Gobain.

Cottonwood has a capacity of 455 MWp and will feature 225 MWh of battery storage set for commissioning in 2025. Electricity produced at Cottonwood will be contracted under long-term PPAs, aiding entities such as LyondellBasell and Saint-Gobain in their decarbonization efforts.

Olivier Jouny, Senior Vice President for Renewables at TotalEnergies, noted that these projects highlight the company's ability to deliver competitive renewable electricity to support both clients' and the company's decarbonization goals.
