TotalEnergies, as a shareholder of Offshore Wind One GmbH, has obtained the maritime concession N-11.2 in the North Sea from the German Federal Network Agency. The concession, located 120 kilometers north-west of Heligoland, covers an area of 156 square kilometers and will allow the development of a 1.5 GW offshore wind farm.

This acquisition complements the 2 GW concession N-12.1 secured last year, facilitating the creation of a 3.5 GW wind energy hub in the German North Sea. TotalEnergies plans to leverage synergies between the two sites to optimize development and operation.

Offshore Wind One GmbH will pay €196 million to the German Federal government by June 2025 for marine conservation and eco-friendly fishing promotion. Additionally, an annual contribution of €88 million will be made to the electricity transmission system operator for twenty years following the site's commissioning.

The concession term is 25 years, extendable up to 35 years. This milestone supports TotalEnergies’ strategy to enhance their renewable energy portfolio and contribute to Germany's decarbonization efforts.
