Transfer from Gift Orban to Hoffenheim

Olympique Lyonnais have confirmed the transfer of Gift Orban to Hoffenheim for a fee of €9 million. The move includes bonuses of up to €3 million, with €1 million guaranteed, as well as a buy-out clause. 7.5% on the capital gain of a possible future transfer.

Orban, signed from Gent in the previous winter transfer window, has made 21 appearances for Lyon in 2024. The 22-year-old Nigerian striker scored five goals, including an important double against Strasbourg, which secured a key victory for the team.

By joining the Bundesliga, Orban continues his international career after stints in Norway, Belgium and France. Olympique Lyonnais wishes him success for the future in Germany.
