Troy Minerals Completes Additional Soil Program on Lac Jacques Project
Troy Minerals Inc. ("Troy") has announced the completion of a soil sampling program at its REE Lac Jacques project in Quebec. The program aimed to extend the 2023 soil geochemistry survey, expanding eastward from the Western Grid toward the Eastern Grid to explore the dyke's strike.
312 B-Soil samples collected are now with ACT Labs for analysis. Chief Geologist William Cronk expressed eagerness for the results, noting last year's success in defining drill targets. Final approval is pending for an eight-hole, 3200-meter drill plan.
According to the International Energy Agency, rare earth elements demand is set to multiply by 2040. Rana Vig, President and CEO, emphasized the strategic importance of stable rare earth supply, highlighted by Canada's recent diversion of a $3 million sale to a domestic entity.
The Lac Jacques project is located about 250 km north of Montreal and has seen significant exploration efforts, including geochemical and airborne magnetic surveys, and preliminary drilling in 2023.
