Turkiye Garanti Bankasi A.S. Sells Non-Performing Loans Portfolio
Turkiye Garanti Bankasi A.S. (TGBD) has completed the sale of its non-performing loan portfolio. The portfolio included receivables from credit cards, general purpose loans, cheque accounts, commercial loans, and overdraft loans. On September 23, 2024, the bank disclosed the significant details of this transaction.
The loans were sold in six separate portfolios for a total consideration of TL 445,300,000. Key transactions include the sale to Gelecek Varlık Yönetim A.Ş. for TL 234,000,000, Dünya Varlık Yönetim A.Ş. for TL 82,500,000, Arsan Varlık Yönetim A.Ş. for TL 86,000,000, and Sümer Varlık Yönetim A.Ş. for TL 42,800,000.
The disclosure noted that in the event of discrepancies between the Turkish and English versions, the Turkish version would prevail.
