UK Historic Homes Report Surge in Bookings Due to 'Bridgerton' Popularity

The release of the latest Bridgerton season on Netflix has sparked a significant increase in interest towards grand historical estates in the UK, known as the 'Bridgerton Bounce'. Storied Collection, a syndicate offering exclusive rentals of historic properties, has noted up to a 300% increase in traffic, enquiries, and bookings following each season premiere.

The Earl of Derby, owner of Grade II listed Knowsley Hall, shared that not only Bridgerton but also other popular historical dramas such as Downton Abbey and The Crown have considerably boosted interest in such properties. He anticipates further increase in travel and bookings from the U.S. this season.

Storied Collection's COO, Michael Goldin, highlighted that the fascination with historical shows contributes significantly to the demand for their 17 estates across the UK and Ireland, predicting a doubling in North American inquiries alone.

The estates represented by Storied Collection are also celebrated in popular culture. For instance, Dabton House has featured in Outlander, and other properties have appeared in major films and series, adding to their appeal for bookings for various events.
