UKA Commits to Further 253 MW Wind Energy Order with Nordex Group

UKA, a prominent wind and solar park developer, continued its investment in renewable energy by placing an additional order for 39 turbines with the Nordex Group, as announced on April 3, 2024. These turbines are from the N149/5.X, N163/5.X, and N163/6.X series, aiming to generate a combined capacity of 253 MW. This initiative underscores UKA's commitment to enhancing the energy transition in Germany through significant renewable energy projects.

These turbines, scheduled for installation across six federal states in 2025, represent a crucial step in Germany's shift toward cleaner, more affordable, and independent energy sources. UKA's ongoing collaboration with Nordex notably contributes to reaching a total of 450 MW ordered wind turbines over the past three months.

The move follows UKA's successful acquisition of nearly 18% of the projects in February's Federal Network Agency "Wind on Land" tender round, emphasizing its crucial role in the Renewable Energy Sources Act (EEG) project implementation. In parallel, UKA demonstrates its proactive approach by extending its framework contract with Nordex, hinting at more substantial orders planned for 2024.

Nordex and UKA's robust partnership is not only a testament to their mutual confidence in each other's capabilities but also their shared dedication to advancing Germany's energy transition. This partnership aims to leverage Nordex's technological expertise and UKA's project development capabilities to foster a sustainable energy future.
