Wind and solar park developer UKA has placed an order with the Nordex Group for 10 turbines from the Delta4000 series N175/6.X, to be installed at the Mahlsdorf wind farm in Brandenburg. The turbines, with a capacity of 6.8 MW each and a hub height of 179 meters, aim to enhance wind energy capture. This order includes a 20-year Premium Service agreement for turbine maintenance.

Nordex has reached a significant milestone, surpassing 10 GW of orders in Germany and 70 GW worldwide. The Mahlsdorf project will be the first to feature these turbines at such a height, allowing for efficient energy capture even in low-wind areas.

"The rotor is the motor, especially with the N175/6.X," noted Karsten Brüggemann, Nordex's Vice President Region Central. Gernot Gauglitz, managing partner of UKA, emphasized the project's complexity and the advantage of their long-term partnership with Nordex.

In 2024, Nordex tested its first N175/6.X turbine in Schleswig-Holstein. The successful installation and commissioning of the turbine mark a step forward in their technology offering.
