Unibail-Rodamco-Westfield Earns 'A' Rating from CDP for Climate Action

Unibail-Rodamco-Westfield (URW) has achieved a significant milestone by securing the 'A' rating from CDP for the seventh consecutive year. This accolade highlights the company's successful climate initiatives under its Better Places sustainability plan. Furthermore, URW has climbed in the Corporate Knights Global 100 ranking and gained recognition from Equileap for gender equality progress.

As part of its recent accomplishments, URW reduced carbon emissions by 42% and energy intensity by 37% compared to 2015 levels. The rollout of the Better Places Certification, a pioneering standard for shopping centers focusing on environmental and social aspects, has reached 14 assets, covering 30% of its European retail portfolio.

URW's continued commitment to sustainability is also evidenced by its listing as one of the 100 most sustainable companies by Time Magazine. Sylvain Montcouquiol, Chief Resources and Sustainability Officer, emphasized the importance of this ongoing recognition for their climate strategy.
