UNICO National Spotlights Italian American Excellence at Major Events
UNICO National, at its Mid-Year Board of Directors Meeting and Presidential Awards Banquet in Atlantic City, New Jersey, honored several Italian Americans for their contributions in various fields. The event, which took place on March 17, 2024, at the Hard Rock Hotel, recognized individuals like Bob Capoferri, the founder of Asphalt Paving Systems, and NFL quarterback Joe Flacco with prestigious awards. These awards were presented by notable figures including ESPN Correspondent Sal Paolantonio and Congressman Jeff Van Drew.
UNICO National President Cav. Ralph Contini highlighted the organization's century-long commitment to promoting Italian heritage and community service. With the upcoming 101st Annual UNICO National Convention & Italian American Awards Gala scheduled for July 31, 2024, in Princeton, NJ, the organization announced its honorees, including Ralph A. LaRossa and Sal Paolantonio, who are set to receive awards for their remarkable achievements in business and journalism, respectively.
