United Labels AG Reports Strong Preliminary Results for Fiscal Year 2023

United Labels AG, a leading European company in the licensing business, has announced its preliminary financial outcomes for the fiscal year 2023, revealing significant growth in both sales and earnings. The company witnessed an 11% increase in group sales, amounting to €24.8 million, up from the previous year's €22.3 million. This growth was primarily driven by a 9% rise in revenue from the Key Account segment and a notable 31% improvement in Special Retail sales, with e-commerce business within this segment surging by 57%.

The company experienced a slight dip in its gross profit margin, which settled at 27.3%, down from the previous year's 28.6%, attributed to marginally higher freight costs. Despite this, United Labels AG managed to enhance its earnings before interests, taxes, depreciation, and amortisation (EBITDA) to €1.3 million, and its EBIT rose by 25% to €1.0 million. The net profit for the year also saw a 50% increase, climbing to €0.6 million.

Looking ahead, United Labels AG has ambitious plans for 2024, focusing on expanding its Key Account business, brand ranges, and particularly its thriving e-commerce platform. The company's positive outlook is further reinforced by its plan for further sales growth and an operational results improvement for the 2024 fiscal year.
