Update on KBC Group's Share Buyback Programme
KBC Group NV has provided an update on its share buyback programme that was originally announced on 10 August 2023. The transactions occurred over five days, from 22 April 2024 to 26 April 2024, on the Euronext Brussels' regulated market.
During this period, KBC did not purchase any shares on 22nd April, but resumed with considerable activity for the remainder of the week. On 23rd and 24th April, 70,000 shares were bought each day, and by 26th April, 74,000 shares were transacted. The prices of these shares fluctuated slightly throughout the week, with the lowest average price of €69.17 on the 26th and the highest at €71.36 on the 24th.
As a result of these transactions, KBC Group now holds 15,131,378 shares within its buyback programme, amounting to a total consideration of €903,335,459. This step is part of their ongoing strategy to optimize share value and manage company assets effectively.
