UQUID Integrates USDT on TRON for Seamless Public Transport Payments in Argentina

Buenos Aires, Argentina - August 1, 2024 – UQUID, a leader in Web3 shopping platforms, has unveiled a new feature enabling users to top up their SUBE cards using USDT on the TRON blockchain. This aims to streamline how Argentine commuters handle their public transportation expenses by leveraging cryptocurrency for everyday transactions.

SUBE cards are pre-loadable wallets widely used for public transport in Argentina, allowing payments for buses, subways, trains, trolleybuses, and ferries. The new functionality ensures rapid transaction times, reducing wait times traditionally associated with topping up these cards at physical locations.

UQUID CEO Tran Hung highlighted the integration's benefits, citing USDT on TRON's stability, low fees, and speed as perfect for Latin American users. TRON DAO's Dave Uhryniak also praised the move, emphasizing its practical utility and potential to set new standards in the region.

The integration offers cost-effective transactions and financial stability in a high-inflation economy. This democratizes access to transportation by eliminating traditional banking barriers. Nearly 48.78% of UQUID users in Latin America use USDT on TRON, reflecting a shift toward stable and efficient financial solutions.

This development represents a significant advance in using blockchain for everyday financial transactions, underscoring the growing adoption of digital finance in Latin America.
