Ur-Energy Inc. Welcomes New Board Members and Announces Upcoming Retirements

Ur-Energy Inc., based in Littleton, Colorado, has announced the appointment of John Paul Pressey and Elmer W. Dyke as new members of its Board of Directors, according to a press release dated April 8, 2024. The company, listed on NYSE American and TSX, also shared the impending retirements of founding Director James M. Franklin and Director W. William Boberg, expected to leave after the Annual Meeting of Shareholders on June 6, 2024. Both will not stand for re-election but will serve on the Board until the meeting date.

John Cash, Ur-Energy's Chairman and CEO, expressed excitement over the new appointments. He highlighted Pressey's extensive audit and assurance background from his 30-year tenure at PricewaterhouseCoopers, including 16 years as a partner, and Dyke's 35-years' expertise in the global nuclear sector, including roles in nuclear non-proliferation and marketing of nuclear fuel. Cash also took the opportunity to thank Franklin and Boberg for their service and contributions to the company, noting Franklin's role in identifying the uranium supply gap and Boberg's acquisition of the Great Divide Basin assets in Wyoming.

Both Pressey and Dyke bring extensive industry experience and expertise to the company's Board. Pressey has worked with numerous publicly traded companies, while Dyke's career spans commercial, government, and international security programs related to the nuclear industry. Their addition to the Board is part of Ur-Energy's broader strategy as the world increasingly turns to nuclear power.
