Usha Resources Initiates IP Survey at Southern Arm Property
Usha Resources Ltd., a North American mineral exploration company, has begun an Induced Polarization (IP) survey at its Southern Arm copper-gold VMS property in Quebec. Geophysique TMC, based in Val d'Or, leads the survey focusing on the Hollywood trend of metal anomalies. The survey aims to enhance drill targets for Usha's planned maiden drill program in winter 2024-2025.
The Southern Arm project is strategically located in Quebec's mineral-rich northwest Abitibi subprovince. The IP survey, combined with a surface biogeochemical sampling survey, will help establish high-priority targets for the 3,000-meter drill program. CEO Deepak Varshney emphasized the importance of refining their exploration strategy, highlighting pursuit of additional copper and gold opportunities for shareholder value.
The geological setting includes the synvolcanic Bapst Fault and Brouillan-Fenelon group volcanic rocks. The area has significant historical mineral occurrences, akin to the nearby historic Selbaie mine, underscoring the site's exploration potential.
