Validation by the Lille Court of the takeover offer of MG-Valdunes by Europlasma

Europlasma announced the validation by the Lille-Métropole Commercial Court of its offer to take over the French manufacturer of wheels and axles for the railway industry, MG-Valdunes. This operation includes the takeover of MG-Valdunes' business assets in Leffrinckoucke and Trith-Saint-Léger, as well as the preservation of nearly 60% of jobs. This project also aims to integrate new activities to improve profitability and contribute to the energy transition.

The takeover is part of an ambitious development plan, including the eventual production of “green” railway wheels using renewable energy. A total investment of more than €35 million over three years is planned to support this strategic turning point, with contributions from Europlasma, the State, local authorities and the SNCF.

This recovery project is hailed as a step towards the decarbonization of industry and French industrial sovereignty. It aims to return to financial balance for MG-Valdunes from 2025, after a loss-making year in 2022. This acquisition by Europlasma illustrates its commitment to the environment and the circular economy.
