Velox Energy Materials Announces Positive Independent Review of Lake Pierre Lithium Project

Velox Energy Materials Inc., based in Toronto, has updated the public on the progress of its Lake Pierre Lithium Project in Quebec. The company shared findings from an independent study of historic data, which identified several promising features for lithium and uranium exploration. Among the highlights, multiple generations of pegmatites were found, suggesting a favorable geological setting for lithium discovery. The report also hints at the potential for finding additional uranium mineralization.

Simon Coyle, President and CEO of Velox, emphasized the importance of the independent review and outlined plans for ground reconnaissance works to establish exploration targets for lithium and uranium. The Lake Pierre Lithium Project, located near the Rio Tinto Ilmenite mining operation, benefits from being in a known mining province with established infrastructure. ISO Services Geoscientifiques Inc., the company conducting the review, brings over two decades of regional expertise to the project.

Historical exploration focused on uranium within the Turgeon Granite has already shown significant results. However, specific lithium targets have not been pursued due to a lack of detailed data. Velox aims to commence preliminary fieldwork in CY 2024, intending to enhance surface sample data and further identify pegmatite generations.
