Vergnet and Koman join forces for solar canopies in the Caribbean

On January 15, 2025, Vergnet and Koman announced a strategic partnership to develop solar canopies in the Caribbean, aimed at meeting the growing energy needs of this island region. Vergnet, a specialist in renewable energy, and Koman, an expert in sustainable infrastructure, are joining forces to offer clean and versatile energy solutions suitable for schools, markets and public spaces.

Vergnet brings its technological know-how, while Koman ensures the sustainable installation of these infrastructures. The offer includes latest generation solar panels, resistant to extreme climatic conditions. This project, aligned with the UN Sustainable Development Goals, will encourage energy autonomy and stimulate the local economy.

The first installations in the Caribbean are planned for the first half of 2025, with an initial capacity of several hundred kilowatts. The leaders of the two groups see this partnership as an opportunity to address the climate and social challenges of the region.
