VINCI acquires nine highways in India
VINCI Highways has signed an agreement with Macquarie Asset Management to acquire nine motorway concessions in India. The portfolio, named Safeway Concessions, comprises nearly 700 kilometers of toll highways located in the states of Andhra Pradesh and Gujarat. These roads are essential for connecting key industrial and logistics zones. With contract terms running from 2048 to 2058, VINCI will be compensated through toll revenues based on traffic volume.
Safeway is valued at approximately 150 billion rupees, or about 15 times its EBITDA. VINCI plans to optimize these assets financially, operationally, and digitally. The transaction is expected to close by the end of 2026, subject to approvals from the Indian authorities.
