Viromed Medical AG Partners with relyon plasma GmbH for Plasma Technology Advances

Viromed Medical AG has announced a strategic collaboration with relyon plasma GmbH, a subsidiary of TDK Electronics AG. This partnership focuses on the application of cold atmospheric pressure plasma in medical fields. Relyon plasma will develop the plasma technology, while Viromed will handle device approval and distribution.

Recent innovations include the ViroCAP® system, which uses plasma technology for dermatological treatments to stimulate wound healing. The system will be showcased at the Arab Health exhibition in Dubai in January 2025. Together with various research institutions, the partnership is also exploring plasma's disinfecting capabilities in respiratory conditions to prevent ventilator-associated pneumonia.

This collaboration signifies a crucial step forward in plasma technology, emphasizing non-antibiotic solutions to medical challenges. Both companies aim to expand the use of cold atmospheric plasma in diverse medical applications.
