Vox Royalty Acquires Silver Royalty Over Sorby Hills Project
Vox Royalty Corp. has announced a binding agreement between its subsidiary, Vox Royalty Australia Pty Ltd, and a private seller to acquire a 0.75% net smelter return royalty over the Sorby Hills silver-lead project in Western Australia. The deal is worth $13 million, to be paid in cash.
Sorby Hills, operated by Boab Metals Limited, is expected to become one of Australia's largest silver mines. The project, fully permitted and funded, is targeting first production in the second half of 2027. It anticipates annual outputs of about 2.2 million ounces of silver and 68,000 tonnes of lead over an initial 8.5-year lifespan.
Conditions precedent for the transaction include customary approvals and Foreign Investment Review Board consent in Australia. The deal's completion is expected in Q4 2026, within a year of the anticipated production start, aligning with Vox's strategic focus on near-term precious metals revenue.
