Wienerberger Expands Water Solutions Portfolio in Northern Europe

Wienerberger AG has strategically expanded its water management portfolio in Northern Europe, achieving significant growth through the acquisition of Finnish Slatek OY and Norwegian Tekken AS. This move enhances Wienerberger’s presence in the Nordic market for smart water management solutions, contributing roughly €10 million in revenue.

Slatek OY, based in Finland, specializes in smart automation solutions for water utilities, strengthening Wienerberger's position in public water management. Tekken AS, a key player in Norway, offers prefabricated and custom-built pumping stations, complementing Wienerberger's existing solutions. Together, these acquisitions bolster the company's water infrastructure offerings.

CEO Heimo Scheuch notes that the Nordics provide an attractive environment for investment, aligning with Wienerberger's value-driven and sustainable growth strategy. These acquisitions underscore the company's commitment to expanding its portfolio with innovative digital solutions.
