World Green Economy Summit 2024 highlights green finance for climate resilience
The Global Green Economy Summit 2024, hosted by DEWA and the Dubai Supreme Council of Energy, highlights the crucial role of green finance. In the face of growing climate challenges, climate finance is becoming vital for the most vulnerable countries. Between 2021 and 2022, global investments in climate projects reached $1.3 trillion, but need to increase fivefold to meet the goals of the Paris Agreement.
The UAE plays a key role in mobilizing climate finance through various global initiatives. This year’s WGES, on 2-3 October 2024, will be held at the Dubai World Trade Centre and will highlight climate finance to build a green and equitable future.
