World Tumor Registry Appoints Dr. Edi Brogi as Head of Breast Cancer Registry

The World Tumor Registry, established in 2021, has named Dr. Edi Brogi as the inaugural Chair of its Breast Cancer Registry. This follows the announcement of its successful thyroid cancer registry launch in March 2024. The Breast Cancer Registry, focused on curated cancer images and information, aims for a public debut by the end of 2025.

Dr. Yuri Nikiforov, WTR Founder, highlighted Dr. Brogi's appointment as vital for the registry's impact. Dr. Brogi, a leader in breast pathology and Director at MSKCC, brings vast expertise, having contributed extensively to breast disease research and literature. She invites global pathologists to join this innovative project, stressing the ongoing need for knowledge, particularly on rare cancer forms.
