W&W Group Reports Robust Start to 2025 Despite Past Challenges

Wüstenrot & Württembergische Group (W&W) has begun 2025 with notable growth, particularly in new business, achieving an increase of over 10% in some areas compared to early 2024. The group expects an increase in consolidated earnings under IFRS and a rise in the HGB result for the current year.
Despite financial setbacks in 2024 from severe storms, rising motor vehicle costs, and economic challenges, W&W recorded a €36 million IFRS profit. W&W's Chair Jürgen A. Junker notes the group’s resilience and commitment to customer service as key strengths.
The company continued to show progress in its housing and insurance divisions. Notably, the construction financing business grew by 22.6% in early 2025. The health insurance division saw a 6.1% increase, while property and casualty insurance grew by 8.3%.
Looking forward, W&W remains optimistic for the rest of 2025, with plans to improve net profit and further expand its market presence, contingent on stable market conditions and absence of extraordinary loss events.
