Zero Waste Foundation Bridges Climate Finance from Berlin to Antalya

The Zero Waste Foundation recently co-hosted a high-level climate finance dialogue in Berlin, focusing on private capital mobilization and sector transformation for COP31 in Antalya. The discussions aimed to connect climate finance with practical implementation, reflecting the resource-efficiency and circular-economy approach supported by the Zero Waste Movement.

The gathering, part of Türkiye's preparations for COP31, included key voices such as Samed Ağırbaş from the Zero Waste Foundation and Frank Scheidig of DZ BANK. Sessions highlighted the translation of climate objectives into investable projects within sectors like energy, heavy industry, and transport. The roles of banks and insurers in fostering sustainable capital markets were also discussed.

The dialogue concluded with an Executive Roundtable focusing on delivery, identifying partnerships crucial for the COP31 Action Agenda. The event emphasized private capital mobilization, aiming to carry these themes from Berlin to Antalya for effective climate action.
