Shunde Bridge Wins Guangdong High-Quality Steel Structure Award
The Shunde Bridge in Shunde District has been recognized with the 2025 Guangdong High-Quality Steel Structure Project Award. This accolade has been announced by the Guangdong Steel Structure Association. The project involved the participation of Shanghai Zhenhua Heavy Industries Co., Ltd. (ZPMC) and its subsidiary Nantong Zhenhua Heavy Equipment Manufacturing Co., Ltd.
The Shunde Bridge is a significant infrastructure in Foshan, spanning a total of 992.5 meters. Its notable design includes a double-pylon, double-cable-plane hybrid girder cable-stayed structure with a semi-floating system. The main span measures 626 meters, making it the longest in Foshan.
ZPMC contributed by fabricating the streamlined, fully enclosed steel box girder which extends 602 meters and weighs approximately 16,000 tons. The bridge, which opened to traffic on May 8, 2025, exemplifies ZPMC's expertise in large-scale steel structure fabrication.
