ALVAREZ & MARSAL ANNOUNCES APPOINTMENT OF MARTIN RINCK AS MANAGING DIRECTOR TO STRENGTHEN TRAVEL, HOSPITALITY & LEISURE PRACTICE

Zurich, 14 April 2025 – Global professional services firm Alvarez & Marsal (A&M) announces today the continued expansion of its EMEA Travel, Hospitality & Leisure Practice with the appointment of Martin Rinck as Managing Director.

Martin brings over 35 years of leadership experience in strategy, operations, business development, P&L management, and brand management across some of the world’s most prominent hospitality companies. With unique experience spanning the entire ecosystem of a business, from performance and product transformations to leading two successful IPOs, Martin offers a holistic perspective that will strengthen A&M’s growing and dynamic team across EMEA.

Martin served for nearly 13 years on the Executive Committee at Hilton in roles including EVP & Chief Brand Officer at Hilton, where he led the portfolio strategy for 18 brands across 6,500+ hotels globally, drove key ESG initiatives and oversaw crisis management during the COVID-19 pandemic. During his tenure he also served as EVP, Global Head Luxury & Lifestyle Group as well as President for Hilton in Asia Pacific, where he grew the company’s portfolio from 90 to over 600 properties, launched six new brands and supported the increase in top-line revenue by over $2 billion.

Martin is deeply purpose-driven and committed to diversity, equity, inclusion, and social responsibility and has dedicated over 15 years to supporting NGOs across Cambodia, Indonesia, Bali, and Singapore, with a particular focus on literacy and gender equality in education.

Martin serves as a Board Member of the Room to Read Swiss Chapter, in addition to serving on the Board of Small Luxury Hotels of the World (SLH) and the International Advisory Board of EHL in Lausanne.
