STGM HAS RECEIVED €127 M (WITH FURTHER €10 M EXPECTED IN SEPTEMBER 2026), AS PART OF THE NORMAL EXPIRY OF THE PUBLIC SERVICE DELEGATION AGREEMENT FOR THE TIGNES SKI AREA
Paris, June 10, 2026 –STGM, a 78% subsidiary of Compagnie des Alpes (CDA), transferred responsibility for operating the Tignes ski area to the local public company (LPC) ALTTA on June 1.
As announced in the first half results announcement, on 1 June STGM received 90% of the compensation due in respect of returned assets (assets necessary for the operation of the estate, valued at their net book value), amounting to €88.2 million. This compensation has no impact on the income statement.
In addition to this, there are proceeds from the disposal of assets relating to assets taken over, which were sold on May 28 and 29, (assets belonging to STGM that are used in the operation of the estate) as well as STGM’s own assets. In this regard, STGM has received an initial payment of €38.3 million, before tax (net of the employee profit-sharing scheme).
Payment of the outstanding compensation due in respect of returned assets and proceeds from the disposal of trade-in and company-owned assets is expected to be made by the end of the 2025/26 financial year, for a total estimated amount of around €10 million.
Overall, as stated in the Group’s previous announcement, Compagnie des Alpes will receive total compensation of around €107 million, of which approximately €76 million relates to returned assets (with no impact on the income statement) and approximately €31 million relates to repossessed assets and own assets, which will have a positive impact on the Group’s EBITDA.
Compagnie des Alpes reiterates its intention to allocate all of these funds to financing projects aimed at expanding its business.
