Gold House Announces 2024 A100 Honoring the Most Impactful Asian Pacific Leaders

LOS ANGELES, CA / ACCESSWIRE / May 1, 2024 / Gold House, the leading cultural ecosystem powering Asian Pacific creatives, companies, and communities, kicked off Asian Pacific American Heritage Month (APAHM) today with the reveal of its annual A100 List - the definitive honor recognizing the 100 Asian Pacific leaders who have most significantly impacted American culture and society in the last year - as well as several special honors for transformative impact and a brand-new category, New Gold, for rising Asian Pacific leaders. Top Asian Pacific organizations, creative and business leaders, and multicultural allies voted on the list. Gold House will celebrate these honorees through a slate of events from May 10 through May 11, including the A100 Honoree Welcome on May 10, exclusively for past and present A100 honorees, and the Gold Gala on May 11, the premier and most-viewed Asian Pacific celebration in North America.

Asian Pacific leaders are redefining today's standards and shaping our tomorrow. Asian Pacific-led creativity continued to break records in entertainment, with the most-watched Netflix show of 2023 (The Night Agent); the most-watched Disney+ film premiere of 2023 (Elemental); the most-watched FX premiere ever on Hulu (Shōgun); the first Asian to win "Male Artist of the Year" at the People's Choice Awards (Jungkook); the most-watched YouTube Shorts creator of 2023 (Alan Chikin Chow); and the first Asian-created and -led television show to win an Emmy for Best Limited or Anthology Series (Beef). In sports, A100 and New Gold honorees represent the world's highest-paid athlete (Shohei Ohtani); the first Asian player to score 100 Premier League goals (Heung-Min Son); the first high schooler drafted number one overall to the NWSL (Alyssa Thompson); and the most-viewed Super Bowl Halftime Show prior to 2024 (choreographed by Parris Goebel).

Asian Pacific leaders are also driving the most important technologies and policies that will determine the future, founding 42% of the IPO'd companies in the United States in the last two years. A100 honorees sit at the forefront of the AI revolution, including "Godmother of AI" Dr. Fei-Fei Li and executives at the most dominant AI players (e.g., AMD, Google Cloud, NVIDIA, Open AI, Salesforce AI, Scale AI). A100 honorees also lead the most crucial organizations ensuring that future technologies balance fundamental rights, including the Human Rights Watch, the National Resources Defense Council, and the White House Correspondents' Association.

  • Gold Ally Honor for multicultural leaders committed to progressing culture for all: Cynthia Erivo (Grammy-, Emmy-, Tony-winning and Oscar-nominated Actress, Singer, Songwriter and Producer, and star of the forthcoming WICKED)
  • Gold Icon Honor for a transformational moment for the Asian Pacific community: Beef Cast & Creators

This year, Gold House also introduced a new category, New Gold, to honor 10 leaders on the rise across industries who will redefine canon for community and culture in the future.

The A100 will partake in a celebratory weekend over May 10 and 11. On May 10, the evening before the Gold Gala, Gold House and EY, the global professional services firm, will bring together past and current A100 at an exclusive A100 Welcome, featuring a special dinner presented by global restaurant technology leader OpenTable. The dinner is curated by the 2024 winner of OpenTable and Gold House's Gold Chef Prize, Chef Katianna Hong, at her restaurant in downtown Los Angeles, Yangban. The evening will also include a cocktail hour with Maker's Mark and conversation starters provided by dating app Coffee Meets Bagel. The next morning, the most influential Asian Pacific women leaders will gather at the Gold Women Brunch to enjoy holistic wellness and beauty preparations presented by Nordstrom for the evening ahead. Finally, the weekend will culminate with the Gold Gala, with special on-stage award presentations to the A1s and Special Honorees, followed immediately by the Billboard x Gold House Founders Party with headliner DJ Steve Aoki.

This year's A100 Honorees are featured in Google's Asian Pacific American Heritage Month video celebrating the community's excellence across culture, created in collaboration with Gold House and produced by Hook. The video features a powerful narration from actor and producer Auli'i Cravalho, as well as Google Search trends about the community.
