Helvetia has successfully placed a CHF 230 million senior bond on the Swiss capital market. The proceeds will be used for general corporate purposes.
Helvetia Swiss Insurance Company Ltd in St. Gallen has successfully placed a senior unsecured bond guaranteed by Helvetia Holding AG in the amount of CHF 230 million. The bond will mature in 2034 and carries an annual coupon of 1.95%. The transaction was targeted at investors in the Swiss capital market.
The net proceeds from the issuance of the bond will be used by Helvetia for general corporate purposes, including the possible future refinancing of outstanding instruments.
BNP Paribas, UBS and ZKB acted as joint lead managers to the transaction and Nordea as co-manager.
