ILI.DIGITAL AG significantly expands its range of services for artificial intelligence (AI)

  • Teams expanded by 30 AI specialists
  • Numerous AI-related digitization projects have been already realized and implemented
  • Integration of AI applications is expected in almost every digitization strategy

Karlsruhe, 23 May 2023. ILI.DIGITAL AG, a Karlsruhe-based consulting and software company for digitization and transformation processes, is expanding its artificial intelligence expertise massively. At the sites in Karlsruhe and Lahore (Pakistan), the development teams are growing accordingly with AI experts. In addition to the approximately 150 developers, another thirty specialists for generative AI have joined the team, who now support the project teams with their unique know-how.

The new team members will integrate comprehensive AI applications into the already ongoing and future digitization projects in the areas of industry, services, and finance.

ILI.DIGITAL has already realized various successful AI projects—for example, the app developed by ILI.DIGITAL for the chemical company Renolit to measure buildings independently, recognizes facades and other areas that should be included in the material calculation during a facade design or renovation. While still on site, the AI- and augmented reality-supported app can directly generate an offer for the customer with a very accurate price calculation, which sustainably improves customer service.

Another application example is a 3D product configurator ILI.DIGITAL developed for an automotive supplier and manufacturer of electric charging cables. This digital solution enables the supplier's end customers to see the charging cables in the digital user interface and order customized products. This also benefits the supplier, who can gain new insights into the needs and requirements of its customers and make market forecasts.

At the moment, ILI.DIGITAL AG is working on several projects with generative artificial intelligence, including the 'Prompt Engineer' project for two long-standing clients. As part of this project, an AI bot is developed with which sales engineers can check during customer meetings whether a similar project has already been implemented internally. This allows to consult opportunities and risks and the existing knowledge within the organization quickly and effectively.

Another project that increasingly requires AI specialists in the team is the "gecco2" application- developed by ILI.DIGITAL in a joint project with Volksbank pur and the Swiss consulting firm myclimate. Companies can calculate their ecological footprint based on their economic footprint or business assessment (BWA). Generative artificial intelligence is used for this purpose. Currently, ILI.DIGITAL AG is working on implementing the Scope 3 greenhouse gas emissions measurement. Measuring these indirect emissions along a company's value chain, such as those caused by purchased goods and services, is very time-consuming. The ready-made solution enables companies to record their ecological footprint fully.

Dr. Serhan Ili, founder and CEO of ILI.DIGITAL AG: "AI and ChatGPT have become buzzwords of advancing digitalization. As the current discussion about using artificial intelligence also shows, a creative but responsible approach is necessary. This is precisely where we come in. We are strengthening our expertise and clout for the meaningful integration of AI in digitization processes. We are convinced that AI has reached a new stage of evolution and will become an indispensable component in the industry and service sector. Our new AI teams will develop and implement solutions that learn independently, keep improving, and thus generate sustainable added value."

"Finding the right team members focusing on AI is challenging in times of skills shortage, but absolutely possible. In addition to technical expertise, what counts most for us is team compatibility and a passion for driving innovation and transformation processes for our customers. Performance is seen and rewarded at our company. This is also demonstrated by ILI.DIGITAL AG's award as "Best Place to Work 2023," adds Vinicius Ferraz, COO of ILI.DIGITAL AG.
