Munich, 2 November 2023 - Longevity Partners, the global multidisciplinary responsible business and climate advisory firm, has strengthened its team in Munich with two senior appointments: Maria Huber and Klaus Rawyler.
Maria Huber, a certified DGNB auditor, joined the strategy team in Munich on Monday, 16 October as Associate Director Strategy. She will play a pivotal role in developing the building certification sector and further strengthening the company’s sustainability offering.
Maria Huber has extensive experience in sustainability consulting for office buildings in and around Munich and was most recently responsible for green building audits with a focus on material ecological assessment, energy efficiency and cradle-2-cradle potential, as well as ESG assessments of TDDs, verification of EU taxonomy compliance and ESG guidelines for tenant fit-outs. She has a professional qualification in architecture from the Technischen Universität Graz and recently specialised in circular economy and sustainability strategies at the University of Cambridge. She gained extensive experience in strategic management at Accenture and, more recently at AECOM, where she was instrumental in the implementation of New Work projects, market research, data collection and benchmarking.
Commenting on her appointment, she said: “I am delighted to be part of the Longevity Partners German team. Together with my talented colleagues, we will drive the change towards a more sustainable building sector through innovative strategies. Being part of a company that is committed to decarbonising the built environment is extremely meaningful to me personally. I look forward to the challenges that lie ahead.”
Klaus Rawler’s appointment in the new role of Associate Director and Head of the Transaction Due Diligence, demonstrates Longevity’s response to increased demand in Germany for data-based strategic solutions as companies transition to a low carbon economy. Klaus brings a diverse background and wealth of experience to the role, after a distinguished career in construction project management in Saudi Arabia and energy consulting. His expertise spans building and energy efficiency, TCE (Renovation, Maintenance, Technical Operations) engineering and computer programming.
Commenting on his new appointment, Klaus Rawyler says: “I've long been convinced that the energy and environmental performance of buildings is a major issue for our society, but over the years I've also learned that technology is the essential foundation for defining the right objectives and the right way to achieve them when it comes to improving an existing site. I hope to make a strong contribution to building this foundation within Longevity Partners, to help it become a key player in the field of responsible economy and climate consultancy.”
The arrival of Maria Huber and Klaus Rawyler promises an exciting and dynamic development for Longevity Partners. It will greatly enhance the firm's capabilities and further solidify its position as a leader in sustainability and transaction due diligence. As we navigate through challenging times, their expertise will be instrumental in meeting the evolving needs of our clients and delivering exceptional results.
