OPmobility makes changes to its

Executive Committee to accelerate  the Group's transformation

OPmobility announces several changes to its Executive Committee, as part of the Group’s transformation to provide its customers with increasingly integrated and value-added solutions and optimize its operational performance.

Christian Kopp, currently Senior Executive Vice President and President of the Exterior Business Group, will lead a new Business Group comprising OPmobility’s Exterior and Lighting activities, notably to accelerate the development of a differentiated offer to meet the growing demand for integrated exterior systems.

Gérald Mentil, Executive Vice President and currently President of the Lighting Business Group, is appointed Group Chief Performance Officer; in a challenging market, he will be responsible for boosting the performance and accelerating the Group’s transformation.

In addition, Hélène Dantoine is appointed Executive Vice-President, General Secretary, Chief Compliance Officer, and a member of OPmobility’s Executive Committee.

Rodolphe Lapillonne, Chief Performance Officer, has decided to retire after 23 years with the Group and more than 16 years on the Executive Committee.

It will notably enable OPmobility to accelerate the growth of the Lighting business and the development of a differentiating, innovative, and connected offer to meet growing demand from Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) for value-added integrated exterior systems

From the beginning of February, OPmobility will therefore be organized into 4 Business Groups: Exterior & Lighting, Modules, C-Power and H2-Power. This will have no impact on the Group’s financial reporting.

He will oversee and improve the Group’s performance, in particular leveraging its new size, and the synergies between OPmobility’s Business Groups. He will accelerate the Group’s transformation and improve its competitiveness, to reach excellence in the different functions that are the drivers of the operational performance (Purchasing, Supply Chain, Industrial performance, R&D), and the global organization efficiency.

Hélène Dantoine has joined OPmobility's Executive Committee as Executive Vice-President, General Secretary and Chief Compliance Officer. She succeeds Valérie Bros, who has left OPmobility to pursue another opportunity outside the Group. A French national, Hélène Dantoine has had a long career in industry and the public sector, including various high-level positions in governance and compliance.  Hélène Dantoine is a graduate of France’s École Nationale d’Administration. She also studied at Sciences Po Paris and holds a Master’s degree in Public Law.

Rodolphe Lapillonne joined OPmobility as Finance Director of the Auto Exterior Division in 2001. He joined the Executive Committee in 2008 and ran the Environment business from 2008 to 2012. Appointed Senior Executive Vice-President in 2012, he served as OPmobility’s Group Chief Financial Officer from 2012 to 2021. From 2021 to 2024, he worked as the Group’s Chief Performance Officer.

Laurent Favre, Chief Executive Officer of OPmobility, says: “In a rapidly changing market, the creation of this new Business Group is a response to the growing demand from our customers for more value-added and integrated solutions. Led by Christian Kopp, this Business Group will enable OPmobility to further differentiate and strengthen our positioning. In parallel, the nomination of Gérald Mentil as Group Chief Performance Officer will enable OPmobility to reach new levels of performance and competitiveness in this environment. I would like to welcome Hélène Dantoine, who brings the Group her vast experience of governance and compliance, both in industry and the public sector. I would also like to warmly thank Rodolphe Lapillonne for his significant contribution to the Group's development over these last 23 years and I wish him the best in his future endeavors.”
