Roubaix – September 12th 2024 –OVHcloud, a global cloud player and the European Cloud leader, today announces the global availability of its Managed Rancher Service. Adding to a growing Public Cloud portfolio comprised of over 40 products and solutions encompassing a total of 8 different services: security, compute, storage, database, network services, analytics, AI and quantum, the new Managed Rancher Service aims to ushering organizations into the era of Multi Cloud. With organizations now relying on different Clouds (Public, Private, On Premises, etc), OVHcloud acknowledges a new normal providing a managed service offering control, security, productivity all with the benefits of a trusted and reversible cloud with no vendor lock-in.

Last april, the Group first introduced the Beta version of its Managed Rancher Service at KubeCon 2024. Now available, OVHcloud Managed Rancher Service leverages Rancher, the industry leading and most popular orchestration tool in the community, and targets medium-sized and enterprise organizations with multiple clusters or a multi-cloud architecture. The complete Rancher Kubernetes management solution was developed in close partnership with SUSE, to deploy and run Kubernetes anywhere at scale effectively supporting modern app platforms. OVHcloud’s Managed Rancher Service unifies Kubernetes clusters to offer consistent operations and workload management, all with enterprise-grade security.

Available from the Public Cloud product portfolio, the Managed Rancher Service offers a fully featured private Rancher deployment providing management and orchestration of Kubernetes clusters on any cloud. Users and management rules can be controlled through a single pane of glass UI with access to an extensible service catalog (observability, service meshes, etc). Rancher’s multi-cluster management capabilities enable organizations to easily bring their existing nodes and infrastructure to run on OVHcloud’s robust infrastructure. Furthermore, Rancher's multi-tenant architecture, secure authentication options, and comprehensive security policies enhance the overall security and isolation of the container environment.
