Cologne, 17 February 2026 – Together with logineer, the logistics IT subsidiary of q.beyond AG, the international logistics company Röhlig Logistics has successfully completed its global migration to SAP S/4HANA. In one of the largest and most complex SAP projects in the logistics sector, 36 country companies were simultaneously migrated to the uniform new system. In the course of the project Röhlig and logineer also extended their existing IT service contract for another five years, ensuring that Röhlig’s IT systems will be supervised and further developed on a long-term basis.

By converting to SAP S/4HANA, Röhlig can now set new standards in terms of digitalisation, future-readiness, and efficiency. The migration was implemented using the brownfield approach, meaning that the existing SAP system was migrated to the new platform with the assistance of q.beyond’s and logineer’s consulting, logistics, and implementation expertise.

Simultaneous conversion in 36 countries

The key focus was on the SAP modules of Finance (FI) and Business Warehouse (BW), which are now centrally managed on a standardised basis worldwide, while the primary objectives were to harmonise finance processes and reduce country-specific standalone solutions. Following the smooth conversion at all of Röhlig’s country companies, the system now ensures uniform evaluation and management of the company’s key financials worldwide.

Having migrated to SAP S/4HANA, the logistics service provider can consistently build on forward-looking technologies, such as the in-memory database in the new SAP generation, which substantially enhances performance while also facilitating real-time data processing. At the same time, SAP S/4HANA opens up a whole range of opportunities to integrate artificial intelligence, for example into automated analyses, forecasts, and business process optimisation.
