The Board of Directors pays tribute to Mr Abilio Diniz, who passed away on February 18th 2024.
Mr Abilio Diniz had been a large shareholder of the Carrefour Group since 2015 and censor then member of the Board since 17 May 2016. He was also Vice-Chairman of its Strategy Committee.
An outstanding entrepreneur, Mr Abilio Diniz has devoted his entire professional life to retail. He worked tirelessly to promote Carrefour in Europe and South America. His exceptional human qualities, insatiable energy and in-depth knowledge of the retail business made a unique contribution to the work of the Board of Directors.
The members of the Board are deeply saddened by this loss and offer their most sincere condolences to his wife, children and family.
